Track laps ended at 11:30 am signaling the start of the Corvette Caravan to Summit Racing in McDonough, GA. The caravan started with one lap around the AMS track that led to GA Highway 20. Police coverage was excellent with nearly 20 officers in escort. The caravan of 200 stretched over 2 miles long as all CABC -V participants headed for Summit Racing; an impressive sight. Arriving at Summit Racing cars were parked and the car show began. The Car Show opened with a prayer and a solo of God Bless America given by Ms B. Chapman, the mother of the President of PaceSetters Corvette Club. Breast Cancer Survivor testimonials, silent auctions, lunch, give-a-ways, car show selections and trophy awards, and the corvette drawing were the highpoints of the remainder of the day. Mr. Fielding Alderman was the winner of $4,700 in the corvette 50 /50 drawing. The day ended at 4:30 pm. We, the members of PaceSetters Corvette Club of Atlanta, and Corvettes Serving America Foundation, are overwhelmed and appreciative of the support given for our signature event. Donations for the day totaled over $13,000. Final totals are still being complied but estimated CABC collections are $25,000 (an update to follow). Total Corvettes Serving America Foundation collections for the year is estimated at $30,000. Donations are programmed for the American Cancer Society and The Wellness Community of Atlanta.
